The first weekend of January is known to be the beginning of the busiest season of all for Monster Truck Racing, where on any given weekend there could be 20 events going on all around the United States.  Like most other promoters, winter is also Ed Beckley's busiest for Checkered Flag Productions, sometimes having four events across the country of his own!  The Wichita Falls Monster Truck Winter Nationals would mark Ed's fourth points race of the season, as back on the East Coast another group from Ed's "CFP Crew" was in Salem, VA running races back on the East Coast.  The Wichita Falls event would be held at the MPEC Kay Yeager Coliseum, which happens to be a gorgeous indoor venue to run at.  As event time approached, ticket sales went through the roof, resulting in a sold out Texas crowd!
