In 1997, Riverhead Raceway in Riverhead, NY had Monster Trucks come and do some Freestyling on Labor Day weekend.  This was the first time that Riverhead Raceway had Monster Trucks there, and it would be the event that determined if Riverhead Raceway would have Monster Trucks back for more events in the future.  The Monster Truck weekend of 1997 was a success, and the owners of Riverhead Raceway have a Labor Day Monster Truck Weekend each September since.

There were two Monster Trucks to do some Freestyling.  Those trucks were:

Wildfire

WWF Undertaker

**The Wildfire Ride Truck was also on hand giving out rides.**

Also at the show was car racing that included a "Smash-To-Pass" Figure 8 Demolition Derby and Legends.

This show was a great show, considering it only had two Monster Trucks doing Freestyle only.  Some jumps were just awesome.  Wildfire had 1,500 horse power and the WWF Undertaker had 1,800 horse power.  Wildfire had some nice jumps, but the extra 300 horse power in the WWF Undertaker truck really helped him jump higher, farther, and get the best iron-walls, in turn giving him the Freestyle Competition win.  (No action pictures, was too dark for pictures).
